DESCRIPTION: Black strapless silk satin evening dress

Viewed at a 3/4 side view angle, characteristics of 1950′s fashion become immediately apparent in this formal evening gown. The plunging bodice  amply supports the wearer by way of a shaped (and pointed) bust line. Tiers of fabric running horizontally across the bodice provide understated ornamentation.Furthermore, the narrow waist is accentuated by a protuberance of fabric that bears a resemblance to an automobile fin of the time period. The side zipper closure is also made visible at this angle.
