Parsons + petitePARADE
By Francesca Sammaritano – Assistant Professor of Fashion, Parsons School of Fashion
We are happy to celebrate petitePARADE – Kids Fashion Week – the bi-annual runway show now in its ninth edition. We are grateful that our Parsons fashion design graduates have been featured in this event for the fourth year in a row!
On October 17th, 2015 some of our most recent Parsons graduates, specializing in Childrenswear debuted their collections on the runway at Spring Studios in New York City.
Including Parson’s designers to the roster of famous children’s wear brands, with the leadership of Tiziana Indelicato and John James Muller was a successful collaboration that would showcase through their venue, selected graduate’s thesis collections.
‘Created to legitimize Children’s Fashion, petitePARADE is a bi-annual Runway Experience that generates excitement at industry and consumer levels and introduces an alternative branded platform for products from toddlers to teens.
September 10th, 2010 marked the first-ever petitePARADE/Kids Fashion Week – a runway showcase created exclusively for the children’s market. An exciting event for an invitation-only audience of media, buyers, mini-fashion mavens and celeb-u-tots. Since then hundreds of designers have shown their collections at petitePARADE and have gained the attention of global press and industry experts.’
This year, six Parsons Children’s Wear graduates were amongst the selected designers to show their collections during Kids Fashion Week:

Francesca Sammaritano and Parsons School of Fashion wish to thank everyone at petitePARADE and look forward to many more years of collaboration ahead! For additional photos of the runway show visit:
