Accessory Design Fashion Competition for Students

The Fashion School Mentors are excited to present our first ever collaboration with Nomi Network in designing for social justice. This accessory design competition is open to all year level students, in the School of Fashion and the School of Design Strategies.
Nomi Network is a non‐profit organization dedicated to ending human trafficking. They work to create jobs for survivors of trafficking or women at risk by creating demand for their Buy Her Bag, Not Her Body® product line. Their goal is to create 100,000 jobs by 2025 for women around the globe.
The collaboration with the School of Fashion will be a competition to design a new accessory for the Buy Her Bag, Not Her Body® product line, using recycled, fair‐trade rice bags from Cambodia. The goal is to create a fashionable product that is relevant to a global audience.
Come to the informational meeting to learn more.

Dear Batik Tulis Jogja,
Keep your eyes on this blog and on Nomi’s site for the winning entry. I believe the contest runs through the Spring semester, so the May timeframe is when you will want to look out for it.
Thanks for your interest in this competition!
Best regards,
